Job summary

K2Spacecorporation is seeking an experienced engineer to develop high power systems for large spacecraft, with power capabilities ranging from 20kW to 100kW.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in electrical engineering, and over 5 years of experience in power electronics design. Responsibilities include environmental testing and interfacing with partners. This position offers a competitive salary range of $160,000 - $210,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional design experience with power electronics, including valid academic projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop power electronics for large spacecraft with power systems ranging from 20kW to 100kW capability.
• Serve as Responsible Engineer for flight hardware from conception through flight.
• Qualify designs through environmental testing including vibration, shock, thermal, and thermal vacuum testing.
• Work with partners to define interfaces between power systems and spacecraft loads.
• Develop models to analyze and verify power system performance.
