Job summary

Vast is seeking a Manager, Government Affairs to spearhead engagement across Congress and industry associations, driving policy and partnership strategies for commercial space initiatives. This full-time position is based in Washington D.C. and requires strong experience in defense policy and congressional engagement.

The successful candidate will support Vast’s efforts to launch and operate leading commercial space stations, focusing on national security objectives. Candidates should have 3-5+ years of experience in government affairs or national security space.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of professional experience in government affairs, defense policy, congressional affairs, or national security space.
• Experience engaging Congress on defense, national security, or space-related policy.
• Understanding of congressional processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Vast’s government affairs strategy for national security space.
• Build relationships with Congressional offices overseeing defense and space.
• Monitor and summarize U.S. defense policy impacting commercial space capabilities.
