K2 Space is hiring a Production Manager, Machining & Fabrication to lead the machine shop, development fabrication, CMM, and spacecraft paint teams. You will own safety, facilities coordination, and day-to-day operations as we scale from development to high-rate production.

You’ll decide on equipment, staffing, and in-house build decisions to meet tight schedules. You will manage a fast-moving shop, drive continuous improvements, and partner with Engineering and Facilities to expand capacity and

Competenze

• 4+ years of direct people leadership in a fast-paced machining or fabrication environment.
• 8+ years of hands-on machining, fabrication, or precision manufacturing in high-volume, rapid environments.
• Experience leading multiple work centers in high-mix, low-volume development or quick-turn settings.

Mansioni

• Lead and develop a team across machine shop, fabrication shop, CMM, and spacecraft paint.
• Maintain safety, quality, and turn-time targets communicated by the leadership.
• Schedule and deliver precision machined parts, welded assemblies, tooling, fixtures, and GSE.
• Set daily priorities and adapt to changing engineering needs.
• Identify and remove constraints blocking hardware delivery.
• Drive capability expansion including equipment selection and capital investment.
• Support buildout of new manufacturing areas with layout and infrastructure.
• Establish throughput, schedule adherence, utilization, and quality metrics for continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with Facilities and Engineering for shared resources and readiness.
