Job summary
The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Specialist II to perform receiving, inspection, packing, and shipment of materials. This full-time onsite role requires handling SAP orders, tracking shipments, and coordinating hazardous materials packages in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Minimum education is a high school diploma with 3+ years of relevant experience; forklift certification and SAP experience are a plus.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: typically three or more years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of relevant shipping/receiving policies and procedures.
- Computer experience.
Responsibilities
- Process SAP orders and use tracking software for shipping/receiving accountability.
- Unload trucks and log packages if damaged.
- Package items using appropriate materials to keep them safe during shipping.
- Assist employees with tracking information of shipments and answering questions on shipping/receiving.
- Receive and process packages including those with chemicals and hazardous materials.
- Coordinate outgoing and incoming shipments using standard methods and procedures.
