Job summary

United Launch Alliance, LLC. is seeking a Project Management Specialist to lead technical development projects at the Decatur rocket factory. You will plan, execute, and monitor projects, coordinating with production, finance, and engineering teams to meet scope, schedule, and budget.

The role demands strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with flexibility to work extended hours or weekends to support testing and delivery. Relocation may be available to join our team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience solving technical and/or engineering problems.
• Safety oriented.
• Strong and effective communicator.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
• Ability to work extended hours and /or weekends as necessary to support testing and production delivery activities.
• Proficient in troubleshooting problems and arriving at a solution in a timely manner.
• Attention to details and good documentation of observations/findings.

Responsibilities

• Manage a technical development project lifecycle from initiation through closure.
• Initiates project planning, execution and monitoring, and achieving the objectives of the project to enable project closure.
• Develops and maintains a schedule to ensure timely completion of the project.
• Charters the project by defining system scope and project objectives.
• Coordinates, collaborates and informs all stakeholders affected by and interested in the project outcome.
• Adheres to quality standards and systems engineering processes, and management of risks, issues, and opportunities.
• Conducts After Action Reviews and documents lessons learned for other project managers.
• Establishes, Identifies, Executes, and Implements Continuous Improvement Opportunities.
• Works with stakeholders to ensure all project requirements are identified and achieved.
