Job summary

E‑Space is building a cutting‑edge, space‑grade IoT platform and seeks an experienced embedded software engineer for our Saratoga office. You will work on low‑level firmware, device drivers, and system services across Zephyr/FreeRTOS environments, collaborating with hardware teams to ensure robust software/ hardware integration.

The role emphasizes security, hardware interaction, and automated testing within CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Embedded C; Rust is a plus.
• Experience with Bash, Python, Makefiles, and Tcl scripting.
• Familiarity with ARM toolchains and cores.
• Understanding of low‑power design and power profiling.
• Strong debugging with JTAG and GDB tooling.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows.
• Knowledge of secure firmware concepts and OTA updates.
• Experience with PSA and MCUboot is a plus.
• Knowledge of AMBA, SPIs, I2Cs, UARTs, and GPIOs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and verify low‑level embedded software and firmware.
• Develop device drivers for accelerators and multi‑processor platforms.
• Design software‑hardware interfaces and data flows.
• Perform verification for firmware/hardware interactions.
• Implement security features like secure boot and TEE.
• Develop hardware‑in‑the‑loop tests and CI pipelines.
• Collaborate with hardware teams for integrated testing.
• Prepare technical documentation and test reports.
