Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 2+ years of industry experience in test automation, controls, or industrial automation.
- Hands-on experience with EtherCAT, Modbus, RS-232/485 or similar.
- Experience with TwinCAT 3 or willingness to develop expertise there.
- Full-stack capability from control software to electrical panels and wiring.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain test systems and ground support equipment for flight hardware qualification and manufacturing operations.
- Integrate with external hardware such as thermal chambers, ovens, and data acquisition systems.
- Develop and extend the PLC framework and EtherCAT tooling.
- Evaluate real-time control approaches (TwinCAT 3 vs Linux) for high-frequency control.
- Assemble cabinets and wire panels, owning systems end-to-end.
