Job summary

Star Catcher is hiring a Software Engineer for Ground & Mission Systems in Jacksonville, FL. You will build and maintain ground tooling, APIs, and data pipelines to support space-to-space power beaming initiatives.

The role requires 5+ years of production software experience in backend services, data pipelines, and engineering tooling, with Python/C++/Go proficiency and REST/gRPC knowledge. On-site position with strong cloud and DevOps exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of professional experience building production software systems (services, APIs, data pipelines, or engineering tooling).
• Proficiency in one or more of Python, C++, Go, or similar languages; experience with REST/gRPC APIs.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain ground segment tools, dashboards, and test infrastructure supporting hardware bring-up and build tracking.
• Work with cross-functional engineering to develop interfaces between ground tooling, hardware, and flight software.
• Develop APIs, services, and data pipelines connecting ground systems, test benches, and engineering tools.
