Job summary

K2 Space is looking for a Production Automation Engineer in Los Angeles, CA. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement production automation solutions. Responsibilities include designing automation assemblies, hands-on project activation, and increasing production efficiency. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and 2+ years of relevant experience. Compensation includes a base salary of $100k-$140k plus equity and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, aerospace, materials, or other relevant engineering discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing, production, or hands-on engineering environment.
• Strong hands-on aptitude and willingness to work directly with hardware on the production floor.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to ensure seamless production automation.
• Design and develop production tooling electromechanical automation assemblies.
• Own hands-on buildout and qualification of automation projects across the production line.

Skills

Hands-on aptitude

Ability to read engineering drawings

Understanding of manufacturing processes

Experience with automation hardware

Education

Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering discipline

CAD software (NX or equivalent)
