Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA, is seeking an Early Career GNC Engineer to contribute to the design, analysis, simulation, and testing of satellite GNC subsystems.

You will work alongside experienced engineers across the spacecraft lifecycle, from physics modeling to hardware-in-the-loop testing and on-orbit operations, including RPOD concepts.

This role is ideal for a recent graduate who thrives in a fast-paced space environment and wants to make an immediate impact on missions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/Engineering/Physics or related field.
  • 0–2 years of related experience (internships, CubeSat, clubs).
  • Available to start full-time in 2026.
  • Ability to understand complex systems with minimal oversight.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Foundational knowledge in spacecraft dynamics and astrodynamics.
  • Proficiency in Python, MATLAB/Simulink, or C++.
  • Eligible for U.S. Top Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Design and tune spacecraft GNC algorithms (ADCS, orbit determination, maneuver planning).
  • Develop physics-based simulations (3-DOF/6-DOF) and Monte Carlo analyses.
  • Collaborate with Flight Software to implement GNC in embedded C++/Python.
  • Support testing on FlatSats and HITL testbeds; identify anomalies.
  • Cross-collaborate with Space Engineering teams to translate mission requirements into flight capabilities.
