Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Sr. GNC Engineer for the Space team to design and validate GNC subsystems across various spacecraft missions, including attitude determination and control, orbits, and flight software.

You will work with Systems, Flight Software, Mission Operations, and Ground Software to develop algorithms, simulations, and autonomous spacecraft operations, while planning robust test and validation activities in a fast-paced defense environment.

Qualifications

• Strong engineering background in Aerospace, Dynamics/Controls or CS.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, C++, Go, or Linux.
• Understanding of orbital mechanics and space object tracking.
• Familiarity with rendezvous/proximity ops and attitude control.
• Clear communication and documentation skills; TS clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Work on spacecraft GNC software and hardware subsystems across orbital regimes.
• Develop software-defined autonomous spacecraft operations and maneuvers.
• Create test plans for ground, on-orbit commissioning, and ops.
• Collaborate with Systems, Flight Software, Mission Operations teams.
• Develop flight software, algorithms, and simulation products.
• Define automated fault detection and responses and support hardware-in-the-loop tests.
