This role involves designing and implementing Guidance, Navigation, and Control systems for various spacecraft missions. Candidates should have a solid engineering background, particularly in Aerospace Engineering, and be proficient in MATLAB, Simulink, Python, C++, and other relevant tools. The position offers a salary range of $166,000–$220,000 USD and a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare and retirement savings plans.
Qualifications
Strong engineering background from industry or school.
Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, Python, C++, Go, and/or Linux systems.
Understanding of complex systems and detailed requirements.
Experience with orbital mechanics and tracking capabilities.
Familiar with rendezvous proximity operations and docking.
Knowledge of spacecraft dynamics and control theory.
Clear communication and organizational skills.
Must maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities
Work on spacecraft GNC software and hardware subsystems.
Develop software-defined approaches to autonomous spacecraft operations.
Create test plans to validate the GNC system.
Collaborate across teams to test complex functionality.
Support schedules during testing and launch.
Design flight software and algorithms.
Develop autonomy tools for dynamic operations.
Execute test processes.
Define automated fault detection and responses.
