Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a space systems analyst/engineer to independently and collaboratively conduct deep dives, trade studies, and assessments to define customer needs in space architecture design and optimization.

You will leverage analysis tools to deliver insights, develop software enhancements, and present results to technical leads, management, and customers, while building strong cross-organizational collaborations with government customers and contractor teammates.

Qualifications

• MS degree in aerospace, astronautical, or mechanical engineering or related field (pursuing or conferred within 12 months).
• 0–1 year of industry work experience.
• Experience with constellation design, orbital mechanics, or satellite access geometry.
• Knowledge of Python, C, C++, MATLAB, or similar.
• Ability to support multiple programs as a technical contributor across teams.
• Eligibility for Top Secret/SCI clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Transcripts required.

Responsibilities

• Independently and collaboratively conduct deep dives, trade studies, and assessments to define and address customer needs in space architecture design and optimization.
• Leverage in-house and off-the-shelf tools to deliver insights through analyses and trade studies.
• Contribute to development of analysis software tools and enhance simulation capabilities.
• Develop and present timely, technically accurate presentations and reports communicating results and recommendations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and cross-organization partners.
