Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Sr. Member of the Technical Staff to help design and optimize space architectures, perform trade studies, and provide data-driven recommendations.

You will use in-house tools and commercial software to support programs across satellite, launch, ground, and cyber domains. Minimum requirements include a BS in a relevant field or an advanced degree with 4+ years of experience, strong programming experience (Python/C++/MATLAB), and TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

BS in aerospace, astronautical, mechanical engineering, physics, OR math or related field.
Advanced degree or 2+ years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of orbital mechanics or satellite access geometry.

Responsibilities

Independently and collaboratively conduct deep-dives, trade studies, and assessments for space architecture design and optimization.
Leverage engineering analysis tools to deliver insights and perform performance modeling.
Develop and present clear reports and recommendations to technical leads and customers.
Contribute to development of analysis software tools and enhancement of existing capabilities.
Build strong relationships with internal and external customers and partners.
