Job summary

Mclaurin Aerospace seeks an Electronic Component Engineer at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX. You will lead a team of Electronics Component Engineers, evaluating EEE parts for spaceflight reliability and assisting with NSPAR processes for NASA programs.

You will interface with NASA customers, develop part specifications, and support part qualification plans while ensuring compliance with space-grade standards and testing procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering and 10 years of related experience.
• Experience leading a technical team and interfacing with NASA customers.
• Knowledge of component selection, screening and derating for spaceflight applications.
• Experience with NSPAR (Non-Standard Parts Approval Request) development and PCB information.
• Knowledge of EEE parts management, DPA (Destructive Physical Analysis) processes and testing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead Electronics Component Engineers on NASA projects and programs.
• Evaluate proposed EEE parts lists for hardware criticality and environments.
• Provide Electrical, Electronic and Electromagnetic parts support to NASA flight projects and programs.
• Review MIL and industry EEE specs for NASA use and space flight hardware.
• Assist in NSPAR development and NSPAR documentation with PCB information.
