The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Senior Space Systems Engineer for Mission Delta 3 space EW systems. You will lead technical analyses, guide interfaces, and coordinate with government stakeholders and contractors to field capabilities.
Required are a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, 8+ years in national security space, and active or clearable TS/SCI. On-site work with possible travel and strong leadership is expected.

The Defense Systems Group (DSG) provides analysis-based decision support to senior leaders on space architectures, policy and strategy, technology development, warfighter capability enablers, systems integration, defense industrial base, and threat reduction to help shape existing and future space missions across the national security space (NSS) enterprise. DSG is unique at Aerospace as it not only directly supports major customers, including the U.S. Space Force, U.S. Space Command, Air Force Materiel Command, and senior leadership at the Pentagon, but also provides a broad range of technical support across the national space enterprise, maintaining vertical responsibilities with customers’ portfolios as well as horizontal, matrixed responsibilities across the corporation. Additionally, DSG provides deep technical expertise to the Space Force Space Systems Command (SSC) in the conception, design, acquisition, launch and operations of satellite, launch vehicle, ground control, and range systems. The Space Electromagnetic Warfare Systems Engineer role provides communication systems engineering expertise for the United States Space Force (USSF) Combat Forces Command (CFC) Mission Delta 3 Sustainment Squadron. Mission Delta 3 is the USSF’s space electromagnetic warfare (EW) mission delta. This position will lead Mission Delta 3 in defining, acquiring, verifying, fielding, integrating, maintaining, and refining USSF space EW warfighting capabilities while being cognizant of cost, schedule, technical performance, and risks. Further, this position will work with space EW systems such as the Counter Communications System (CCS), the Space Electromagnetic Warfare Operating Location (SEWOL), the Remote Modular Terminals (RMTs), and Bounty Hunter. As part of the space EW community, this critical position will work to support operational activities and influence future capability needs. The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility in El Segundo, CA or Colorado Springs, CO.

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
