Job summary

Amentum at Kennedy Space Center in Florida is seeking an electrical systems technician to maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems across the Mobile Launcher, Launch Pad assets, and transporters, ensuring safe and reliable operation.

You will repair DC/AC power distribution, motor controls, switchgear, and related equipment, following tested procedures and safety standards, with potential overtime and travel as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and technical training in the applicable area and three years related experience.
• Must have a valid U.S. driver's license.
• Must have proven troubleshooting ability, using a systematic approach in the repair of AC and DC electrical control systems including motors, motor controls, transformers, switchgear, electrical panels, and other associated equipment.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70E, standard for Electrical Safety in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Conduct electrical systems maintenance across the Mobile Launcher, Launch Pad assets, and Transporters.
• Maintain, repair and operate transporters consisting of DC power, Low and Medium Voltage power, and Fire and Smoke Detection systems.
• Maintain, repair, and operate AC facility electrical systems on the Mobile Launcher and Launch Pad B assets to include facility electrical, grounding, and lightning protection.
• Provide practical application of hand tools, power tools, and lifts to build, repair, validate and maintain equipment per written instructions.
• Utilize precision measuring and testing equipment to diagnose, test, and analyze performance of components, assemblies, or systems.
