Northwood Space is seeking a Developer Experience Engineer to own the build system, CI pipelines, and developer environments used across FPGA, embedded, DSP, cloud, and ground teams. You will quantify build performance and drive improvements across the Platform team to accelerate commits to releases.

The role requires hands-on CI ownership, Python/shell scripting, and a strong understanding of containers and Linux.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in build engineering, DevOps, CI/CD, or platform engineering.
• Hands-on experience owning CI pipelines for multi-team codebases.

Responsabilidades

• Own the build system: reproducibility, caching, build times, cross-platform targets across cloud, embedded, and FPGA.
• Design and maintain reusable GitLab CI templates and pipelines to reduce flakiness and cycle time.
• Build reproducible developer environments for new engineers to be productive on day one.
• Implement release automation and promotion from development to production with artifact signing and supply chain checks.
• Instrument build/CI systems, publish productivity metrics, and guide tooling roadmap.
• Support engineers on build/pipeline issues and create long-term fixes.
