Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton in the United States is seeking a Space Defense Mission Analyst to apply your expertise in space operations and export controls to support U.S. Space Force objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, analyze, and evaluate complex systems, policies, and processes related to the release and export of U.S. space tech.
  • Coordinate with industry, interagency, and other stakeholders to facilitate export of space systems to international partners.
  • Provide technical support and briefings to USG engagements with foreign military and government officials.

As a space systems and military technology analyst, you’ll bring your operational, tactical, and technical expertise to support Air and Space Force equities asso cia ted with the export of space systems and related military technologies across USSF mission areas such as Space Domain Awareness ( SDA ) , Space-Based Sensing and Targeting ( SBST ) , Space Control, Navigation Warfare, Satellite Communications ( SATCOM ) , Missile Warning and Tracking ( MWT ) , Theater Electromagnetic Warfare, and Space Access. You'll support the development, refinement, and implementation of Department of the Air Force ( DAF ) export and foreign disclosure guidance for systems and asso cia ted platforms, equipment, subsystems, and processes that impact or operate in the space environment. You'll proactively identify technology release and foreign disclosure ( TRFD ) requirements, challenges, and processes specific to space systems and technologies, and coordinate with industry, systems groups, the interagency, and other stakeholders to facilitate the export of interoperable systems to international partners. You'll provide technical support such as briefings or papers, to USG e nga gements with foreign military and government offi cia ls.

You’ll be a t rus ted advisor to our clients, and we’ll look to you to identify, analyze, and evaluate complex systems, policies , and processes related to the release and export of U.S. space technologies and information to international partners. You’ll guide the work we do for the U.S. Space Force and the solutions we deliver for the security cooperation mission.

You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience with space operations in mission areas such as SDA, SBST, Space Control, EW, SATCOM, MWT, or Space Access
  • Knowledge of Micro sof t Office Suite applications

  • Experience performing operational space functions in support of a combat-coded unit with a strong space foundation
  • Experience working at the Headquarters-level
  • Knowledge of USSF roles and missions, security cooperation, international affairs, and security assistance or foreign military sales ( FMS )
  • Master’s degree in International Affairs or a STEM field
  • Completion of Space 100, Space 200, and Space 300 Courses, or similar training

The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).
