Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Space Systems Modeling and Analysis Engineer to develop high-fidelity models for multi-orbit constellations across SATCOM, NAVWAR, SBST, and MWT missions. You will build large-scale, parallel simulations to assess performance, resilience, and ground segment integration. Qualifications include a STEM degree, 3+ years of physics-based modeling experience, and proficiency in MATLAB/Python/C++.

U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM required.
• 3+ years of experience developing physics-based models and simulations of space systems.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or C++ for numerical modeling and data analysis.
• Experience with parallelizable or high-performance computing approaches for large-scale simulations.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and maintain high-fidelity models of multi-orbit constellations across SATCOM, NAVWAR, SBST, and MWT domains.
• Design and execute large-scale, parallelizable simulations to evaluate performance and resilience.
• Perform trade studies and sensitivity analyses on constellation design parameters and network topologies.
• Model ground segment architectures including radar systems and ground control infrastructure.
• Model space-based threats and Alt-PNT frameworks.
• Produce technical documentation and briefings for leadership.
