Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Computer Vision Engineer to join our Space team in Washington DC. You will work on perception subsystems, sensors, and flight software integration for space missions, collaborating with Sensors, GNC, Avionics, and Mission Operations.

Ideal candidates have strong ML/CV background, hands-on C++ in Linux, and a current US Top Secret clearance. You’ll help design autonomous spacecraft software, validate systems on ground and in orbit, and contribute to mission-ready

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in ML, Robotics, or CS with CV focus.
• BS in CS, ML, EE or related field.
• Experience developing and benchmarking ML on large datasets.
• Proficient C++ development in Linux.
• Experience in Object Detection, Tracking, Segmentation.
• Experience in SLAM, 3D geometry, sensor fusion.
• Ability to understand complex systems and requirements.
• Familiarity with rendezvous operations and orbital mechanics.
• Clear communication and documentation skills.
• Active U.S. Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Prototype innovative CV solutions using state-of-the-art techniques.
• Develop and maintain core libraries and runtime applications.
• Integrate CV with ML methods and sensor data.
• Work CV software/hardware subsystems for space vehicles.
• Develop autonomous spacecraft operations software.
• Create test plans to validate CV systems on ground and orbit.
• Collaborate across teams to plan, build, test complex features.
• Coordinate with end-users to translate needs into features.
• Support schedules during ground tests and on-orbit ops.
• Design flight software, algorithms, and simulation products.
• Develop space autonomy tools; test and validation.
• Develop automated fault detection and responses.
• Provide hardware-in-the-loop and Monte Carlo simulations.
