Job summary

Amentum Space Exploration Division seeks a mid‑level Systems Engineer-Avionics Analysis to support NASA's Space Launch System HWIL labs at Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL. You will design data analyses, verify avionics functionality, and generate technical documentation.

Responsibilities include developing analysis plans, executing test cases with HWIL systems, and coordinating with ES51/Systems Engineering, Software, and Test teams to meet mission objectives.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or related STEM field.
• ABET-accredited university preferred.
• U.S. Citizenship and STAR ID required.
• Typically BS with 5-15 years or MS with 3-13 years experience.

Responsibilities

• Become a subject matter expert on flight avionics requirements and how to analyze them in test data.
• Design and execute analysis plans from test data of HWIL simulation systems.
• Participate in defining and designing Detailed Verification Objectives (DVO).
• Write technical documents including analysis plans and reports to address verification requirements.
• Evaluate test data to correlate with test findings and investigate anomalies.
• Communicate insights on performance of integrated systems and work with cross-functional teams.
