Job summary

The Fieldhouse Spa within THE PIG Hotel is seeking a Spa Supervisor to lead daily operations and support a high-performing team. You will ensure safe, efficient service and deliver an outstanding guest experience across all shifts.

The role requires previous spa or luxury hospitality supervision, excellent communication, and the ability to manage front-of-house and back-of-house tasks, including bookings and POS transactions. Weekend work is required.

Qualifications

  • We are seeking a Spa Supervisor with previous supervisory experience within a Spa, wellness or luxury hospitality environment.
  • You will be confident in leading and supporting a team, with excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operation of the Spa, ensuring each shift runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Lead shift, providing direction and support to the Spa team.
  • Open and close the Spa in line with operational requirements.
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new team members.
  • Ensure wellbeing of the team and a positive working environment.
  • Lead front-of-house and back-of-house operations including bookings and payments.
  • Support stock control and merchandising within the retail area.

Job description

Location: THE PIG-in the Cotswolds, Barnsley, GL7 5EE

Salary: £14 per hour (OTE £15.10 per hour, including tronc).

Hours: 32 hours per week, over 4 days

The Fieldhouse Spa offers guests a holistic and relaxing environment where wellbeing, exceptional service and attention to detail come together. As Spa Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring our guests receive an outstanding experience, whilst supporting the wider Spa team to deliver consistently high standards throughout every shift.

The Role

As Spa Supervisor you will form a key part of the day-to-day operation of the Spa acting as the shift lead, supporting the team and ensuring the Spa operates safely, efficiently and in line with Fieldhouse standards.

Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To
  • Oversee the daily operation of the Spa, ensuring each shift runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Deliver and champion an exceptional guest experience at every touchpoint.
  • Act as shift lead, providing direction, support and guidance to the Spa team throughout the day.
  • Open and close the Spa in line with operational requirements.
  • Support the onboarding and training of new team members, helping them successfully integrate into the business.
  • Ensure the wellbeing of the team throughout each shift, creating a positive and supportive working environment.
  • Assist the Spa Manager with daily briefings and effective communication across the team.
  • Ensure all operations comply with Health & Safety legislation and Fieldhouse Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Lead both front-of-house and back-of-house operations, including guest arrivals, bookings, scheduling, payments and daily reception standards.
  • Support stock control and merchandising within the retail area.
  • Maintain exceptional presentation standards across all Spa facilities.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, positivity and a hands-on approach to service delivery.
Skills & Experience

We are seeking a Spa Supervisor with previous supervisory experience within a Spa, wellness or luxury hospitality environment. You will be confident in leading and supporting a team, with excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills. A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences, strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high operational standards are essential. You will be confident using booking and point-of-sale systems and have a flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and public holidays.
