Job summary

BSN SPORTS, A VARSITY BRANDS COMPANY is seeking a Screen Print Operator to assist with the production of screen-printed materials in a fast-paced warehouse setting on-site in Madison. You will help coat, inspect, and prepare garments, load materials on presses, and ensure colors and finishes meet customer specs.

The role requires familiarity with screen printing processes, attention to detail, reliable attendance, and the ability to stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED (required).
• Familiarity with screen printing machines and software.
• Ability to differentiate and coordinate colors.
• Ability to read English instructions.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders and prepare the area to print multi-color work.
• Load material on press and apply ink to screens.
• Perform quality checks against customer specifications.
• Move materials through the facility using pallet jacks and RF scanners.

WORK HOURS Monday – Friday, 5am – 1:00pm

Full Time Team members work 8-hour shifts for 40 hours per week. Shift times may vary, and extra hours may be added to your schedule to ensure we fulfill our commitments to customers.

Peak Season (July-December) Requirements

Mandatory overtime may include some Saturdays and Sundays .

BSN Sports, A Varsity Achievement Brand, is looking to hire a Screen Print Operator. As a Screen Print Specialist , this role is responsible for assisting with the production of screen-printed material. Roles include the production, coating, and cleaning of screens used in the screen-printing process, quality check finished product based on customer specifications, assisting on press loading material and by applying ink to screens, and the movement of material throughout the facility, and the use of an RF scanner.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Reviews work order, observes specifications and any special notes, and prepares work area to start to print multi-color work.

Direct physical activity is required to maintain their productivity while meeting the highest quality specifications.

Quality check decorated garments based on customer specifications.

Assist the press operator by loading material on press, applying ink to screens, changing squeegees, and pre-counting material before decoration based on the paperwork.

Operation of machinery is used to coat, reclaim, image, and develop screens used in the screen-printing process.

Move material into staging locations throughout the facility using a pallet jack and RF scanner.

Ensures that their area and equipment is kept clean, wiped down with press wash at least once per week.

Utilize all personal protective equipment as required for personal safety and the safety of their peers.

Learn tasks quickly, accurately, personable, team oriented, and punctual with excellence in attendance.

QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ ABILITIES

Familiarity with screen printing machines and software.

Ability to spot errors and ensure precise stitching.

Capable of troubleshooting machine issues and making necessary adjustments.

Understanding of design principles to assist in the creation of appealing patterns.

Must be able to follow orders and proper machine operating.

Learn tasks quickly, be detailed, accuracy-driven, personable, team-oriented, and punctual with excellence in attendance.

Candidates are required to differentiate and coordinate colors.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE

HS Diploma or GED (required)

Previous warehouse experience is a bonus

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a bonus

Ability to read English instructions.

Candidates are required to see and differentiate colors for accuracy in inspecting the product during and after being processed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. Repetitive movement of the body is required on a regular basis. The position requires lifting of no less than 15-35 lbs. on a regular basis. Must be able to tolerate working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
