Job summary

PwC is seeking an IT Audit Controls/SOX Director to drive internal audit and control-focused client work across technology and financial reporting processes. You will set strategy, guide multiple workstreams, and develop leaders while promoting advanced data and AI-enabled methods in advisory services.

You will shape internal audit services, support control assessments and compliance reviews, and drive SOX programs across engagements, partnering with senior executives and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, 9+ years of experience in IT audit or controls.
• CIA/CPA/CISA certifications preferred.
• Exec-level client relations experience across internal audit and controls.
• Experience driving SOX and IT controls programs across engagements.
• Ability to translate control insights into business opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal audit and SOX control engagements across technology and financial processes.
• Set engagement direction, priorities, and delivery plans for controls work.
• Advise clients on IT controls, governance processes, and financial reporting.
• Review risk identification and control design to close gaps.
• Guide teams through audit methodologies and documentation of findings.
• Develop executive client relationships and identify service opportunities.
• Direct use of data analysis and AI-enabled methods to improve testing.
• Mentor teams on report writing and stakeholder management.
• Monitor delivery quality, independence, and code of conduct obligations.
• Identify opportunities to expand controls and transformation services.
