Job summary

Nexstar Media Group, Inc. in Irving, TX seeks a Senior Internal Auditor to support SOX compliance, operational, financial, IT audits, and investigations. The role contributes to the annual SOX program and supports other audit projects as needed.

You will assist with planning, develop work programs, test controls, and communicate findings. Emphasis on integrity, skepticism, and collaboration with management and external auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of audit experience.
• CPA, CIA, CISA, or CFE preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support the annual SOX compliance program and risk assessment.
• Update process documentation, narratives, and control matrices.
• Perform walkthroughs and test controls.
• Prepare SOX workpapers and communicate deficiencies.
• Coordinate with external auditors.
• Assist with investigations and whistleblower matters.
• Assist VP Internal Audit with Audit Committee materials.
• Develop audit work programs and testing procedures.
• Provide recommendations for process improvements.
• Maintain independence and objectivity.
