Job summary

Jobtailor in Spring, TX is seeking a Senior SOX Compliance Leader to own the program across Finance, IT and operations, ensuring robust controls and timely reporting.

You will lead risk assessments, design control frameworks, coordinate with Internal Audit and external auditors, and embed compliance in process transformations. Strong communication, project management, and cross-functional influence are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• Professional certifications (ACCA/CPA) preferred.
• 10+ years in Finance, Audit, Compliance or Risk in a large, complex org.
• Deep SOX knowledge, financial controls, and risk management frameworks.
• Strong cross-functional influence and stakeholder management.
• Proven project management and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the overall SOX governance framework and ensure effective design and oversight of SOX compliance.
• Develop and enhance the SOX governance model across processes and systems.
• Act as liaison for SOX compliance across Internal Audit, CFR, IT, Compliance & Controls Hub, and external auditors.
• Oversee internal control design and execution to support financial reporting integrity.
• Oversee SOX compliance for system migrations and process transformations.
• Embed SOX compliance in cross-functional transformation projects.
• Represent SOX in executive discussions and prepare reports for governance committees.
