Job summary

Seaboard Foods is seeking a Sow Farm Assistant Supervisor for the Holyoke, CO area to supervise a team and ensure animal welfare and compliance with SOPs. The role involves overseeing daily farm activities, training staff, and maintaining accurate farm records, with safety and biosecurity as top priorities.

Starting pay is $51,300 per year, with opportunities to contribute to a growing pork production operation in Colorado.

Qualifications

• AA degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 6 months to 1-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proficient in English language, reading and writing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure SOPs are followed and facilities are in good working condition, adhering to safety procedures.
• Maintain high herd health and adhere to biosecurity and proper feeding and care of animals.
• Train employees on day-to-day processes to develop a competent workforce by utilizing hands-on training methods.
• Supervise and schedule groups of employees and act as manager when the supervisor is not present.
• Maintain accurate records and reports of animals, employees, and supplies on the farm.
• Assist and ensure that weekly and daily reports are submitted timely and accurately.
• Follow the assigned medication and vaccination protocols for the farm.

We have an exciting Sow Farm Assistant Supervisor opportunity in Holyoke, CO. The Sow Farm Assistant Supervisor will attend and careforswine and assist with supervising employees at the sow farm under the direction of the manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure all standard operating procedures are being followed and facilities are in good working condition, adhering to all safety procedures.

Required:

SCHEDULE

The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours, weekends, and overnight travel as requested.

COMPENSATION

We offer a competitive pay ratebased on your skills and experience related to thisposition. Thestarting compensation for this position in Holyoke, CO is $51,300/yr.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility.
• The employee must regularly lift and move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 300 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Primarily a field position, working at the farm daily.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
