Qualifications

• Strong editorial, line-editing and AP style skills.
• Excellent writing ability and a track record of clear, persuasive prose.
• Experience facilitating groups or bringing diverse stakeholders together and coordinating a editorial board.

Responsibilities

• Lead community commentary and opinion journalism across Southwest Colorado and Northwest New Mexico.
• Curate and edit guest columns, syndicated commentary, editorial cartoons and letters to the editor.
• Recruit and facilitate a diverse BCI Editorial Board.
• Develop balanced Point/Counterpoint features.
• Write editorials on complex regional issues and cultivate community contributors.
