Job summary

Southwest Mobile Storage, Inc is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic in Phoenix, AZ. This full-time role requires diagnosing and repairing diesel trucks and fleet vehicles, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic, Fleet Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, or similar role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and vehicle diagnostics.
• Experience using diagnostic software and shop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel trucks, trailers, and fleet vehicles.
• Perform preventive maintenance services, inspections, and repairs.
• Inspect, test, and repair engines, brakes, steering, suspension, electrical systems, and hydraulics.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
• Change tires and perform general fleet maintenance as needed.
• Complete vehicle inspections and ensure safety standards.

Salary Range: $30.00 To $40.00 Hourly

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour DOE

What You'll Do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel trucks, trailers, and fleet vehicles.
• Perform preventive maintenance services, inspections, and repairs.
• Inspect, test, and repair engines, brakes, steering, suspension, electrical systems, and hydraulics.
• Use diagnostic equipment and tools to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
• Change tires and perform general fleet maintenance as needed.
• Complete vehicle inspections and ensure equipment meets safety standards.
• Maintain accurate repair and maintenance records.
• Work safely and follow company and OSHA safety guidelines.
• Assist with additional shop and fleet maintenance duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic, Fleet Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, or similar role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and vehicle diagnostics.
• Experience using diagnostic software and shop equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus but not required.
