Mercor, in collaboration with a leading AI research lab, seeks USA-based voice actors with native Southern American English accents for training voice data. Sessions are about 4 hours, with a potential second session depending on client needs.

Your recordings will be used exclusively for the client's CX AI Agent, with voice cloning possible. Prior voice acting is a plus but not required, and a good home recording setup is essential.

Qualifications

• Native Southern American English speaker currently based in the United States.
• Clear, natural, and expressive voice; prior voice acting is a plus but not required.
• Access to a professional or near-professional recording setup (quality mic, quiet space, pop filter).
• Strong command of intonation, diction, and emotional range.
• Ability to follow scripts precisely while maintaining natural delivery.
• Availability for a single ~4-hour recording session; a second session may follow.
• [IMP]: Willing to voice-clone for CX AI Agent; recordings used exclusively for this project.

Responsibilities

• Record high-quality voice samples across diverse scripts (conversational, narrative, instructional).
• Deliver clear, natural, and expressive speech with strong control over tone, pacing, and pronunciation.
• Maintain consistency in voice, accent, and delivery across sessions.
• Follow recording guidelines (environment, microphone setup, file formatting).
• Perform multiple takes with variation in emotion, emphasis, and style when required.
