You enjoy providing outstanding service and producing high quality nutrition. The Sous chef's role assists in Kitchen operations while preparing and serving attractive and tasty meals for the community.

What You’ll Do
  • Support the Executive Chef with daily kitchen operations, acting as Executive chef on an as-needed basis
  • Take part in planning menus and trying out new recipes
  • Prepare meals that are appealing and tasty
  • Keep the environment safe and clean
  • Follow kitchen cleaning schedule
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • All requirements related to the food handlers’ certificate per state requirements
  • Knowledge of food preparation, production and plate presentation
  • Must be drug-free and submit to a drug screening upon hire and routinely
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check upon hire and as required by state regulations
  • Knowledge of special dietary needs
