Location: Turpin Meadow Ranch, Moran, Wyoming
Turpin Meadow Ranch seeks an experienced, motivated Sous Chef to help lead our breakfast, lunch, and auxiliary food programs. This hands‑on culinary leadership position supports the Executive Chef in delivering thoughtful, seasonally inspired dining experiences that reflect the character of the ranch and our spectacular surroundings.
The selected candidate will begin training in September in preparation for our winter operating season. This position requires a strong working chef who is equally comfortable leading a kitchen team, cooking on the line, and managing the administrative responsibilities necessary for a successful culinary operation.
Assist the Executive Chef with oversight of breakfast, lunch, and auxiliary food programs.
Lead daily kitchen preparation, service, and closing procedures.
Work hands‑on alongside the culinary team during preparation and service.
Help develop and execute seasonal menus that reflect the ranch's prairie-to-plate philosophy.
Train, coach, and support culinary team members while maintaining clear performance and service standards.
Assist with scheduling, daily assignments, production planning, and kitchen communication.
Manage inventory, purchasing, receiving, product rotation, and food-cost controls in coordination with the Executive Chef.
Maintain accurate prep lists, order guides, inventory records, and other required administrative documentation.
Support banquet, group, staff‑meal, grab‑and‑go, and other auxiliary food programs as needed.
Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, consistency, sanitation, organization, and workplace safety.
Step into broader kitchen leadership responsibilities in the Executive Chef's absence.
Previous experience as a Sous Chef, Kitchen Supervisor, Lead Line Cook, or in a comparable culinary leadership role.
Strong breakfast and lunch production experience.
Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and motivate a culinary team.
Experience with inventory management, ordering, receiving, food-cost control, and production planning.
Strong organizational, communication, and time‑management skills.
Ability to remain composed and effective in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
Working knowledge of food‑safety and sanitation standards.
Willingness to balance administrative responsibilities with daily hands‑on cooking.
Dependable, professional, team‑oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards.
Must be at least 18 years of age and able to meet the physical demands of a professional kitchen.

Continue in management of the restaurant's incredible local reputation as the premiereatery
Assist in the oversight of all restaurant operations (30-50 people per meal)
Assist in hiring and training all restaurant staff
Bi-weekly inventories and ordering for all kitchen service
Assist in establishing all menus
Work cooperatively with FOH and Front Desk to manage reservations
Assist with menu management for special events (weddings, corporate, retreats, reunions.
Manage and work online for lunch,dinner, and other positions for days off
Maintain an A+ food safety rating with the county
