Job summary

Legend Senior Living in the United States is seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to join our culinary team. You will assist the Chef to oversee culinary operations, contribute to menu planning, and ensure safety and sanitation across kitchen areas.

Qualifications

• One year experience in a commercial kitchen as a line cook.
• High school diploma or GED required; licenses as required by state.
• Current food handling licenses as required by the state; culinary training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef with menu planning, food preparation, inventory, documentation and scheduling.
• Prepare food according to the planned menu and note changes when applicable.
• Ensure all cooking, serving, storage, preparation, and service areas are clean, safe and organized to meet standards.
• Monitor quality of food service in line with Legend’s Gold Leaf Dining standards.
• Lead the kitchen environment in the absence of the Chef.
