In this hybrid role based in California, you will lead high-impact sourcing initiatives, drive governance and cost savings, develop reporting tools, and mentor teams while ensuring compliance and data security.

Qualifications

  • Seven or more years of experience in contract administration and management.
  • Ability to interpret contract terms and conditions.
  • Experience leading sourcing strategies and negotiations.

Responsibilities

  • Provides guidance on contractual and business issues, advising stakeholders of rights and obligations and mitigating risk.
  • Leads production of management information and new contract processing procedures for continuous improvement.
  • Oversees review and management of power contracts and related documents for senior management insights.
  • Monitors regulatory proceedings affecting contract administration and operations.
  • Assists in creating strategies for cost and agreement negotiations and tracking results.
  • Acts as vendor contact for contract questions, billing inquiries and invoice discrepancies.
  • Identifies and implements process improvements and collaborates with IT on system changes to improve contract administration.
  • Maintains and develops tools to support reporting obligations and contract management.

Become a Sourcing Strategy & Contracts Manager/Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll help shape how SCE partners with suppliers to deliver exceptional customer experiences and business results. You’ll lead high-impact sourcing initiatives, negotiate strategic agreements, and oversee vendor partnerships that support critical Customer Service operations. You’ll drive governance, financial stewardship, and supplier performance while identifying opportunities to improve service, reduce risk, and deliver greater value to the business. Working across Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Legal, you’ll influence key decisions, champion continuous improvement, and help build stronger, more effective partnerships.

Incident Management Team Expected Participation

Employees are expected to support emergency response and/or business continuity efforts, including readiness to serve on an Incident Management Team (IMT) when needed. Employees will participate in an on-call rotation (approximately every four to six weeks), to support IMT activations during emergency events. IMT assignments may differ from an individual’s regular responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Provides guidance regarding contractual and business issues, advising stakeholders of contractual rights and obligations as well as possible mitigation of contractual/program risk.
  • Leads the production of useful management information and developing of new procedures for contract processing in order to drive forward continuous improvement.
  • Oversees the review and management of specific power contracts and related documents, identifying critical information or patterns for the senior management.
  • Monitors regulatory proceedings within governmental bodies that affect the organization contract administration and business operations as necessary.
  • Assists in creating detailed strategies for cost and agreement negotiations and tracking negotiation results and cost savings.
  • Acts as a point of contact for assigned vendors to address any contract questions, billing questions, and resolve invoice discrepancies to promote the vendor adoption of our contracts and billing system.
  • Identifies and implements process improvement and work with IT on system changes to improve the contract administration operations efficiencies.
  • Maintains and develops tools to support reporting obligations and management of contracts.
  • Tracks and uses contract information to support strategic decision making, and internal and external reporting.
  • Develops and presents training on relevant legal and contracting topics to staff.
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Seven or more years of experience in contract administration, contract management, and interpretation of contract terms and conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading sourcing strategies, RFPs, supplier negotiations, and contract awards.
  • Experience managing contracts, SOWs, change orders, and vendor performance programs.
  • Experience with invoicing, accruals, forecasting, and contract compliance.
  • Experience building supplier governance, scorecards, and executive-level reporting.
  • Experience working with BPOs (Business Process Outsourcing partners).
  • Experience managing cross-functional stakeholder and vendor relationships.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills using Excel, Power BI, SAP, Ariba, or similar systems.
Additional Information
  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
