Job summary

Southern California Edison (SCE) is seeking a Sourcing Associate Specialist to support and develop sourcing strategies for direct materials within the Operational Procurement organization. The role is hybrid in California and focuses on driving performance through effective supplier selection and contract execution.

You will contribute to delivering cost improvements, manage supplier risk, and coordinate with internal customers to ensure reliable material supply for critical projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, contract management, or negotiating contracts.
• Knowledge of purchasing practices, policies, procurement contracts, and standard terms.
• Ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects, and make strategic decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for presentations, correspondence, and negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Execute purchasing and sourcing strategies to meet material requirements, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and cost.
• Analyze to support risk issue resolution and identify supply chain gaps.
• Participate in negotiation for moderately complex purchase orders, change orders, RFPs, and contracts.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal customers to ensure partnerships and proactive supplier risk management.
• Develop structured negotiation plans by understanding supplier positions and key negotiation points.
