Job summary

Clearway Energy is seeking a Sourcing Specialist to procure goods and services for assigned business units with a focus on supplier relationships, contracts, and cost optimization. This hybrid role will be based in our Scottsdale office and requires collaboration with cross-functional teams.

You will manage supplier performance, develop quotations, negotiate terms, ensure timely deliveries, and support supplier diversity initiatives while maintaining compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years in sourcing and/or procurement.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
  • Knowledge of negotiation and contracting process.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work collaboratively to achieve high-level results.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory and suppliers to deliver the highest quality, reliability, and value.
  • Assist in gathering and analyzing industry, economic, market, and spend data.
  • Support identification of opportunities for leveraging spend by category.
  • Measure and track performance within defined spend categories.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential suppliers.
  • Develop, negotiate, and administer contracts with suppliers.
  • Participate in cross-functional sourcing teams to evaluate potential and current suppliers.
  • Support execution of supplier KPIs and demonstrate continuous improvement.
  • Review and coordinate gathering of technical, cost, and delivery requirements.
  • Create and evaluate quotations/bids and recommend suppliers for sourcing selection.
  • Negotiate and place purchase orders.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods/services.
  • Coordinate resolution of accounts payable and delivery issues.
  • Review and process claims against suppliers for unsatisfactory materials, delivery, or equipment.
  • Ensure site warehouse personnel comply with Supply Chain policies and procedures.
  • Execute practices to ensure that optimum inventory levels are sustained while minimizing shortages and delays.
  • Respond to audits, surveys, or other informational requests from internal and external sources.
  • Actively promote and support company Supplier Diversity initiatives.
  • Effectively communicate the impact of sourcing decisions to management and employees as appropriate. Actively enroll their support.
  • Ensure compliance with company and Supply Chain policies.

Job description

Reporting to the Manager, Procurement, the Sourcing Specialist is responsible for procuring goods and/or services and supporting sourcing and purchasing needs for assigned business units. The primary objective is to support business and system processes utilized in sourcing and purchasing and provide expertise in managing materials and services.

What You’ll Be Doing

What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline. Applicable experience in related disciplines or industries may be substituted for the degree requirement.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Effective written and verbal communication.

  • Proficient in computer applications and SAP or other ERP systems, and ability to broaden knowledge as new technology becomes available.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
  • Knowledge of negotiation and contracting process.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work collaboratively to achieve high-level results.
  • Proficient in computer applications and SAP or other ERP systems, and ability to broaden knowledge as new technology becomes available.
What Would Be Nice
  • Previous experience in the Wind Energy Industry or other renewable energy industries is highly desired.

The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, relevant and demonstrated experience, education, training and certifications, and other factors permitted by law. This role is eligible to earn an annual cash bonus, subject to personal and company performance goals.

Salary Range Across all U.S. Locations

$74,000 - $87,000 USD
