Job summary

Scalejet is seeking a proactive Sourcing / Production Manager (Chinese-speaking) to oversee factory-side operations from PO placement through production, QA, and freight pickup. This full-time remote role focuses on managing supplier relationships, driving cost savings, and ensuring timely production cycles for a fast-growing DTC brand.

You will negotiate with suppliers, monitor KPIs, and maintain unit economics while enabling a seamless global supply chain and high-quality product delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in production, sourcing, or supply chain management (preferably in e-commerce).
• Fluency in Chinese and English.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
• Ability to independently manage suppliers across regions.
• High attention to detail and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Manage factory relationships and PO confirmations to keep production on schedule.
• Negotiate terms, MOQs, and pricing with suppliers to optimize costs.
• Track raw material costs and currency exposure to time purchases effectively.
• Oversee QA checks, sample approvals, and maintain low defect rates (<1%).
• Provide regular PO status updates and monthly lead time/QC reports.
• Monitor supplier KPIs for on-time delivery, loading, cost, and quality.

Our client, an international e-commerce company with a strong presence in the USA, is looking for a proactive and experienced Sourcing / Production Manager (Chinese-speaking) to join their global operations team. This is a full-time remote position for someone who thrives on managing factory relationships, streamlining production processes, and optimizing costs.

As a Sourcing / Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing factory-side operations from purchase order (PO) placement through production, quality control, and freight pickup. You will drive cost savings and ensure smooth production cycles with a strong focus on execution, accuracy, and accountability.

As the company scales, it seeks a hands-on sourcing expert who can independently manage supplier-side operations while optimizing COGS (Cost of Goods Sold).

Key Responsibilities:

Factory & Supplier Management

• Manage and nurture factory relationships


• Negotiate terms, MOQs, and pricing


• Ensure on-time PO confirmations and production timelines

Cost & Production Optimization

• Track raw material costs and currency exchange rates to time purchases optimally


• Drive cost reduction strategies without compromising on quality


• Maintain or improve unit economics

Quality Assurance

• Manage sample approvals and conduct quality checks


• Ensure order defect rate remains <1%

Execution & Reporting

• Provide weekly updates on PO status


• Monthly reports on lead times and QC results


• Track supplier KPIs quarterly (on-time delivery, loading, cost, quality)

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Sourcing:

• 100% on-time PO confirmations


• Minimum 2 qualified production lines per product

COGS Optimization:

• 3% annual COGS reduction


• Quarterly documented negotiation wins


• Consistent or improved unit economics

Quality & Timeliness:

• <1% order defect rate


• Timely and consistent reporting of production and factory performance

Must-Have Skills:

• Proven experience in production, sourcing, or supply chain management (preferably in e-commerce)


• Fluency in Chinese and English
