Job summary

United Holdings in Houston, TX is seeking a Buyer II to oversee purchasing and parts tracking for current manufacturing jobs. The role supports two facilities, including a remote OKC site, and could convert to full-time based on performance.

The ideal candidate will source and negotiate materials, monitor parts status, and provide weekly reports to the purchasing manager while ensuring on-time delivery and strong safety commitment.

Qualifications

• GED with three years related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain strongly preferred, or technical/manufacturing background.

Responsibilities

• Source and negotiate materials to secure best value while balancing quality, cost, lead time, and supplier performance.
• Remain informed of parts status for each job on the Manufacturing Schedule.
• Provide technical support to other buyers.
• Supply weekly parts status reports to the purchasing manager prior to weekly production meetings.
• Communicate with the logistics coordinator to move units between locations.
• Follow up on all open PO’s daily to maintain status of parts ordered.
• Ensure delivery of ordered parts no less than one week prior to build start date.
• Maintain strong commitment to safety culture.
• Flexibility to support workload demands and project schedules.
• Work for two manufacturing facilities: local and remote OKC.
