Job summary

Race Winning Brands is seeking an Indirect Sourcing Manager to lead strategic sourcing across indirect spend areas, including MRO, packaging, logistics, IT, and facilities.

You will negotiate contracts, drive cost reductions, and implement scalable supplier management processes while partnering with Operations, Finance, Engineering, IT, and Legal. A direct report will require leadership and mentorship.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or category management.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; MBA preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with spend analytics and contracts.

Race Winning Brands (RWB) is the leading manufacturer of racing and high-performance parts sold to automotive and powersports markets. RWB is the preferred source for high-end pistons, engine blocks, cylinder heads, intake manifolds, connecting rods, crankshafts, clutches, transmissions, springs and other engine and driveline- related performance components. The Indirect Sourcing Manager is responsible for assisting in developing and executing sourcing strategies for indirect spend categories across the organization, including MRO, packaging, logistics, freight, professional services, IT, facilities, capital equipment, and other indirect procurement categories. This role leads supplier negotiations, contract management, cost reduction initiatives, supplier performance management, and category strategy development to ensure the company secures high-quality products and services at the optimal total cost of ownership. The Indirect Sourcing Manager partners closely with Operations, Finance, Engineering, IT, Sales, Legal, and executive leadership to support business objectives, drive sustainable cost savings, mitigate supply risk, and improve supplier performance. This individual will have significant opportunity to design and implement sourcing processes and tools for indirect categories where mature frameworks don't yet exist, establishing scalable practices for supplier management and reporting. This role has one (1) planned direct report, an Indirect Sourcing Analyst, and will be accountable for that individual's development, performance, and career growth.

Essential Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives across assigned indirect spend categories.
• Design and implement scalable supplier management and reporting practices to close capability gaps and establish new processes where none currently exist.
• Lead competitive sourcing events including RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs from strategy development through contract award.
• Negotiate supplier pricing, payment terms, service level agreements, contracts, and commercial terms.
• Establish and manage category strategies aligned with company objectives.
• Identify, quantify, and execute cost reduction opportunities.
• Manage supplier relationships and conduct regular business reviews.
• Develop and maintain supplier scorecards, KPIs, and performance metrics.
• Partner with Finance to validate savings and maintain sourcing reporting dashboards.
• Lead MRO, packaging, logistics, freight, facilities, capital equipment, and professional services sourcing activities.
• Analyze total cost of ownership, market trends, commodity impacts, and freight costs.
• Evaluate supplier consolidation and vendor rationalization opportunities.
• Collaborate with Legal and business stakeholders on supplier contracts and agreements.
• Drive procurement process improvements to improve efficiency, compliance, and scalability.
• Manage supplier risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
• Lead supplier summits, strategic business reviews, and executive supplier meetings.
• Support budgeting and forecasting efforts for assigned spend categories.
• Ensure sourcing activities comply with company policies and procurement procedures.
• Manage and develop one (1) direct report, including goal-setting, coaching, performance reviews, and career planning.
• Serve as a key business partner to internal stakeholders and executive leadership.
• Deliver minimum of 3x salary in cost savings for the company annually.

Requirements

• A minimum of 7–10 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or category management. Demonstrated success leading negotiations, contract management, supplier relationship management, and cost reduction initiatives. Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or related field required. MBA preferred. CPSM, CPM, CIPS, APICS or similar certifications highly desirable.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, Power BI, ERP/MRP systems, spend analytics, contract management, and strategic sourcing methodologies. Strong financial and analytical capabilities. AI knowledge desirable.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders, lead sourcing initiatives, manage supplier relationships, and drive organizational change.
• Hybrid office environment with periodic travel. PPE may be required during supplier and facility visits.
