Wabtec Careers is looking for a Sourcing Manager meant to lead the commodity strategy and manage supplier performance. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s Degree or substantial manufacturing experience with strong negotiating skills.
Your responsibilities will include qualifying suppliers, managing contracts, and developing relationships that assure quality and delivery. A passion for driving results and process improvement is crucial.
The job is based in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, with a salary range between $79,100 and $112,800.
Who will you be working with?
Our best-in-class Sourcing team is dedicated to ensuring that we provide our customers with highly-engineered machinery that exceeds their expectations. Here, working in coordination with our on-site Engineering team, you will source parts from both domestic and international suppliers so we meet our commitment to producing industry leading Maintenance of Way equipment.
How will you make a difference?
As a member of the Sourcing team, you will be responsible for the commodity strategy including supplier management and performance. In addition, the sourcing manager will own the budget and frame agreements for the commodity. Key metrics include cost, quality and delivery to support the needs of our business. Must be able to influence and win support from senior management at our suppliers as well as management at our company.

Work is primarily light duty and requires the ability to regularly lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds. This position requires the ability to sit, stand and walk unassisted. Requires the use of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is required to talk and hear. Normal correctable vision is required.
You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary rate for this role is currently $79100-112800. The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
