Job Overview

Step into a highly visible sourcing role where no two days are the same. The Sourcing Engineer will balance forward-looking supply chain improvement with hands‑on support of the Sedalia manufacturing operation. Approximately half of the role will focus on strengthening the supply chain and supplier partnerships, while the other half will involve working closely with the materials team to address supplier escalations and help ensure the plant has the components needed to meet production and revenue commitments. The balance will shift as business priorities change, giving this individual exposure to a wide range of challenges and opportunities.

Working across Sedalia's diverse product lines and active global supply network, the Sourcing Engineer will turn complex data into practical business strategies, build productive supplier relationships, and help navigate issues ranging from delayed materials to broader supply disruptions and resourcing needs. This is not a transactional purchasing position-the individual will serve as a trusted problem‑solver who connects suppliers, materials, operations, and other internal partners to keep critical work moving forward.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives on solving new problems, and wants to see the direct impact of their work on both plant performance and long‑term supply chain success. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take ownership of meaningful initiatives within the first few months, expand their knowledge of Sedalia's products and operations, and grow into a fully integrated member of a collaborative, fast‑moving team.

  • Monitor purchase price variances and resolve discrepancies with suppliers and internal teams.

  • Participate in special projects and perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

  • 2+ years of experience negotiating directly with suppliers on pricing, cost increases, payment terms, lead times, inventory programs, or other commercial terms.

  • 2+ years of experience analyzing sourcing, spend, pricing, PPV, or supplier data to identify savings opportunities and support business decisions.
