International Motors, LLC, part of TRATON Group, is seeking a Sourcing and Readiness Analyst to support New Product Development from initial part release through product launch. You will collaborate with Engineering, Category Management, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to meet timing, cost, quality and supplier readiness goals.

The role emphasizes cost analysis, supplier negotiations, risk identification, and development of TCO-based sourcing strategies within a fast-paced launch

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in purchasing/procurement or related field.
  • Proven experience in sourcing, procurement, and supplier negotiations.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in a dynamic program environment.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Category Management Teams (CMT) and Engineering throughout New Product Development programs.
  • Develop and execute sourcing decisions aligned with International's business objectives and CMT strategies.
  • Lead negotiations for key cost elements, including piece price, tooling, and packaging.
  • Participate in program Change Control Board (CCB) meetings and address cost and tooling outliers.
  • Develop and present sourcing nomination strategies, including financial analysis focused on optimizing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
  • Identify and resolve Parts Without Contract (PUR) issues that could impact program timing and unit line setting.
  • Partner with suppliers and Procurement Program Managers (PPMs) to support major program build events.
  • Develop and manage supplier implementation plans aligned with program milestones.
  • Evaluate supplier readiness, identify potential risks early, and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Provide regular program status updates, communicate risks, and keep key stakeholders aligned throughout the launch process.

Position Overview

Help bring the next generation of International products to life!

International Procurement is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented professional to join our New Product Launch Team as a Sourcing and Readiness Analyst.

In this highly visible role, you'll support sourcing activities for assigned direct material categories from initial part release through product launch. You'll work closely with Engineering, Category Management, suppliers, and cross-functional program teams to help deliver key objectives related to timing, total cost, quality, and supplier readiness.

From analyzing sourcing data and supporting cost negotiations to developing sourcing strategies, identifying supplier risks, and supporting major build events, you'll have the opportunity to contribute directly to the successful launch of International's new products.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of purchasing/procurement experience
  • Master's degree and at least 1 year of purchasing/procurement experience
  • At least 5 years of purchasing/procurement experience

Desired Skills
  • Proven experience in sourcing, procurement, and supplier negotiations, with a focus on achieving the best overall Total Cost of Ownership.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and Word, with demonstrated experience working with spreadsheets, analyzing data, and organizing large amounts of information.
  • Ability to use Excel and spreadsheets to evaluate costs, cost drivers, supplier information, and financial data.
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams in a dynamic program environment.
  • Experience applying Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) principles to improve manufacturability and reduce cost.
  • Strong understanding of procurement and sourcing principles.
  • Strong project management, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate product costs, cost drivers, and financial tradeoffs.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing program needs.
  • Quick learner with a curious, proactive, and continuous-improvement mindset.
  • Collaborative team player who can also work independently and confidently in a fast-paced environment.
