Job summary

Albertsons Companies in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Procurement Analyst to drive category reviews, manage RFIs/RFQs, and support sourcing across multiple categories.

You will compile responses, draft negotiation documents with the analytics team, and collaborate with vendor management to achieve cost savings while maintaining supplier relationships. This role is in a fast-paced retail environment with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with Excel proficiency.
• Experience with RFIs/RFPs and category strategy is a plus.
• Ability to work across multiple enterprise systems and teams.
• Excellent communication and vendor management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate category reviews and RFIs/RFQs to support sourcing strategy.
• Develop category documents, strategy, and award recommendations.
• Collate RFI/RFP responses and vendor feedback letters with input from the analytics team.
• Collaborate with contracts team to manage vendor paperwork.
• Lead analytics on category strategy and cost analyses for events.
• Support day-to-day vendor communications and event execution.

Main Responsibilities

• Running a competitive event:
• Ensure smooth execution of category review and event timelines and processes to deliver on sourcing strategy and other projects such as RFIs/RFQs
• Help develop key category documents (e.g., category review, strategy, award recommendations)
• CollateRFI and RFP responses andvendorfeedback letters; work withcentral sourcing analytics teamto build negotiation docs with manager input
• Collaborate with sourcing central contracts team to manage contract paperwork with vendors
• Leadinganalysis:
• Lead and own outcomes on category-strategy setting analyses and cost analytics that set the context of any competitive event
• Lead and own outcomes of competitive event response analytics to build preliminary views of award scenarios and vendor competencies; push bid analytics forward through feedback framing for vendors
• Collaboratewith the central sourcing analytics teamon all analyses, providing the central team with a plan for analysis, nuanced category inputs on analysis prepared by the team
• Vendor management:
• Manage vendor communicationsthrough day-to-day activities and competitive events such as launch, kick-off calls, email correspondence includingQ&A
• Also manage vendor communications and feedback through sample reviews and other such activities that may be led by other teams outside of sourcing
• Executing on the day-to-day:
• Support with the execution and management of non-competitive event activities such as managing cost changes, product discontinuations/reformulations/artwork changes,new itemsourcing, etc
• The position will be based in Boise, Idaho.

We Are Looking For Candidates Who Possess The Following

• Preferred degree in: Economics, Mathematics, Food Science, Managerial Economics, or Statistics.
• Good understanding ofsourcing,manufacturing, and distribution.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with at least intermediateMSExcel skills.
• Ability to understand and work with multiple enterprise-wide systems/tools.
• Excellentteaminterpersonal skills and ability to handle multiple tasks while providing superior service.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills including PowerPoint and Word capabilities, including confidence to present recommendations to leadership.
• Excellent relationship building and collaboration skills.
• High energy level, initiative, creative problem-solvingability,and sense ofurgency.
• Ability to complete assigned tasks accurately and on time
• Strong curiosity to learn and willing to ask questions as to how we can continuously improve the department
• Passion for the food,retailor consumer packaged goods industry.
