ASML US, LLC is seeking a Source Research Project Lead to join the Technology Development team. The role focuses on conceiving and demonstrating technologies for next-generation EUV and DUV light sources, leading experiments, and coordinating cross-functional teams to scale light source power and stability.
You will manage ideation, testing, and topology of the drive laser and related subsystems, reporting progress to leadership and ensuring alignment with roadmaps and program objectives.
ASML US, LP brings together the most creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines that are key to producing faster, cheaper, more energy-efficient microchips. We design, develop, integrate, market and service these advanced machines, which enable our customers - the world's leading chipmakers - to reduce the size and increase the functionality of their microchips, which in turn leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics. Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, and we have 18 office locations around the United States including main offices in Wilton, CT, Chandler, AZ, San Jose, CA and San Diego, CA.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Source Research Project Lead to join our dynamic and innovative Technology Development team, focused on conceiving and demonstrating the technologies required for next generations of high-power extreme ultraviolet (EUV) and Deep ultraviolet (DUV) light sources. Both light sources rely on a wide range of unique and challenging technologies, ranging from laser light amplification and high-power optical systems to laser produced laser for EUV generation, electro-optical signal detection and algorithm-based actuation for process control. You are invited to bring your passion, knowledge and expertise in areas of applied physics, plasmas, metrology, optics, controls, lasers, and experiment design to push the boundaries of these technologies forward.
In this role, you will help to advance the lightsource technology for next generation products. You will be invited to join the research team responsible for pathfinding and innovating the heart of the EUV source, the drive laser, to enable the performance of the next generation light source products. As a project lead you will organize the team's tasks in alignment with the teams "3 in a box", the group lead and architect. Your project team will conceive and evaluate technical concepts and design, and develop experimentation to test the validity of such hypothesis. You will plan and manage resources for such ideation and experimental validation up to full scale architecture performance demonstrations. Furthermore, you will drive innovation to scale light source power and stability by collaborating closely with the Controls and Software team, as well as laser scientists. Finally, you will foster cross-functional teamwork connecting with the droplet generator and tin management research teams towards a holistic lightsource development vision.
