Job summary

Riceland Foods, Inc. in Arkansas is seeking a dedicated Sorter Operator to run color sorting equipment in the shipping department, perform preventative maintenance, and monitor dust systems to protect product quality.

You will sample rice, document findings, climb to operate at heights, ride a man-lift, and follow HACCP and safety procedures while supporting the supervisor with daily tasks.

Job Duties

• The Sorter Operator is responsible for food safety by following HACCP and Food Safety policies/procedures. Responsible for plant safety by observing persons entering your work area, asking if you can assist them, and reporting unauthorized persons to your supervisor. Attend training as required or approved by supervisor.
• Operate and maintains color sorting equipment and bin gates, checks samples of rice, records all required information on documentation sheets and performs required sanitation and cleaning tasks.
• Must be able to climb, work at heights, ride a "man-lift" and to follow both written and verbal instructions.
• Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education Requirements

One year certificate from college or technical school preferred: or High School Diploma or equivalent.
