• Sort plastics, pallets, packaging materials, and other recyclables according to company standards.
• Inspect materials for quality and contamination and separate non-conforming items.
• Remove non-conforming materials and dispose of waste properly.
• Organize and stage sorted materials for processing, baling, or shipment.
• Maintain production flow by sorting materials accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.
• Keep work areas clean and safe, following all safety policies and PPE requirements.
• Communicate material or equipment issues to supervisors promptly.
• Collaborate with warehouse and forklift teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.

The Sorter is responsible for inspecting, sorting, and organizing recyclable materials and packaging products to ensure quality standards are met. This role requires the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Essential Responsibilities

• Sort plastic, pallets, packaging materials, and other recyclable products according to company standards.
• Inspect materials for quality, contamination, or damage and separate items accordingly.
• Remove non-conforming materials and dispose of waste properly.
• Organize and stage sorted materials for processing, baling, or shipment.
• Maintain production flow by ensuring materials are sorted accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and environmental guidelines.
• Communicate material or equipment issues to supervisors promptly.
• Work collaboratively with warehouse and forklift teams.
• Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, recycling, or manufacturing experience preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift.

• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures, dust, and noise levels.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
