Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis is seeking a part-time ultrasound technologist for the Joshua Max Simon Primary Care OB/GYN Clinic.

You will perform routine and complex diagnostic ultrasound studies, document findings in PACS, and support physicians with accurate imaging to guide patient care. The role emphasizes patient comfort, safety, and meticulous image quality, with schedule to be determined (Mon-Fri, 8:00 am–4:30 pm).

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Credentials: ARRT, ARDMS, or CCI obtained within 24 months of hire.
• OB/GYN sonography experience preferred but not required as a must-have.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex diagnostic ultrasound studies to aid physician diagnoses.
• Document clinical data in PACS ensuring accurate patient history and continuity of care.
• Perform quality control and safety checks on imaging equipment to ensure peak performance.
• Recognize anatomical structures and pathologies and adapt technique to ensure patient comfort and diagnostic accuracy.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Deliver high-quality diagnostic ultrasound images by performing both routine and complex studies to help physicians make accurate, timely patient diagnoses.
• Capture and document clear clinical data within PACS, ensuring meticulous records that safeguard patient history and streamline the continuity of care.
• Manage and optimize imaging equipment through regular quality control and safety checks to guarantee peak performance and patient safety during every procedure.
• Advocate for patient well-being by recognizing significant anatomical structures, pathologies, or technical limitations, and adapting your approach to ensure comfort and accuracy.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
• Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained Within 24 Months (2 years) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 24 Months (2 years) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 24 Months (2 years) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Sonography Tech credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 24 Months (2 years) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical certificate/degree required.

Preferred Experience

Sonographer with OB/GYN experience preferred
