Job summary

The College of Health Care Professions (CHCP) invites applications for a Sonography Instructor to lead competency-based education in our Houston campus. You will guide students through course objectives, develop lesson plans, provide weekly feedback, and maintain accurate records.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate’s Degree in sonography with ARDMS credentials and have 3+ years of hands-on sonography experience.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree minimum; appropriate credentials in sonography.
• 3+ years full-time professional experience as a general, cardiac, pediatric, or vascular Sonographer. ARDMS (Abdomen, OB/Gyn) RVT preferred
• Proficiency in teaching methodology, supervision, and evaluation.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Comfortable using technology in the classroom.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction aligned with CHCP curricula and course competencies.
• Develop lesson plans, activities, and assessments to promote student learning.
• Provide weekly feedback and support to help students achieve success.
• Maintain accurate records, attendance, and grades.
• Incorporate professional/industry experience into teaching and stay current with trends.
• Participate in faculty meetings and campus service initiatives.
