Job summary

St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Enid, OK is seeking an Ultrasound Tech to perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures including abdominal and OB/GYN scans. The role requires independent judgment, equipment maintenance, and on-call availability to support diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities include image documentation, Cerner-driven reporting, and off-site image transmission. ARDMS registration and vascular/cardiac experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Licensed/registered by ARDMS or equivalent; vascular cert within 2 years preferred.
• Additional registry in cardiac and/or OB/GYN, abdominal/general preferred.
• BLS required within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform abdominal, OB/GYN, neuro, vascular, breast, and special procedures/exams (biopsies, amniocentesis, etc.).
• Identify normal vs. pathological processes and distinguish from artifacts.
• Document and record images and requisitions; include measurements.
• Proficient with Cerner for patient/reporting entry and review.
• Send images/docs off-site for review; troubleshoot transmission issues.

Position Summary

Performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures, which require independent judgment and initiative. The procedures include but are not limited to Abdominal, OB/GYN, Small Parts, Arterial and Venus Vascular exams, and Guidance procedures. Maintains ultrasound equipment. Call is required.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Perform abdominal, OB-GYN, neuro, vascular, breast, and special procedures/exams (i.e. biopsies, amniocentesis, etc.) as required.
• Accurately identify normal or pathological processes and distinguish them from artifacts.
• Document and record information required on images and requisitions. This includes procedural measurement pages.
• Become proficient in the use of Cerner for patient/reporting information entry and review.
• Able to proficiently send image and documentation as needed for off-site review to imaging review service; knows how to troubleshoot transmission problems when they arise.

Requirements

• Registered by the ARDMS or equivalent; other registries a plus/benefit.
• Must obtain registry from ARDMS or equivalent with Vascular certification within two years of employment and maintain this registry/certification annually.
• Additional registry in cardiac and/or OB/GYN, Abdominal/general preferred.
• BLS required within first 30 days of employment.
• Previous ultrasound experience required
• Typing and basic computer skills required.
